Our Mission

To provide our youth and community with educational programs

and services that encourage protection of human life

from conception to natural death.

Life Education Fund (LEF) was created by the board of directors of Right to Life of Summit County OH primarily out of a concern that there needed to be an active organization in place committed to making a difference in the lives of high school and college students throughout northeast Ohio.  Today, LEF is committed to making a difference not only to youth, but to the entire community as well.  LEF is a 501c3 organization with educational objectives that support Right to Life programs and issues.  Donations made to LEF are tax deductible.

Occasionally, LEF will host inspirational speakers, singers and artists.  In previous years, LEF sponsored such events as Oktoberfest For Life--a concert and children's program to help build a culture of life.  From 2004-2007, LEF sponsored the Christian Cup--a sports ministry aimed at building relationships with all Christian denominations in order to uniformly educate in all churches regarding the sanctity of human life from conception through natural death.  In 2007, LEF hosted the International Culture of Life Conference of speakers and singers to inspire youth and adults alike to join in the pro-life movement and work together.

While LEF works side by side as an affiliate of Right to Life, it's programs are supported solely by donations and event fees.

Among other activities, LEF currently sponsors or supports the following programs:

The Pro Life Youth Congress (PLYC) is a high impact group of 7th grade through high school students passionate about building the culture of life in which human life is valued and respected during all of its stages.  Members learn virtuous leadership with a heavy emphasis on pro-life issues and abstinence until marriage, and are provided resources, guidance, and educational materials to develop excellent citizenship, equipping them to live a life of holiness and action.   The PLYC works with students throughout the year to develop the four core virtues of Prudence, Justice, Fortitude and Temperance through four congressional sessions.  Any school, church, youth group or other organization can joint the PLYC as a district.  This vibrant student group started by LEF is growing rapidly and has districts developing across the country and into Canada.  More information about the Pro Life Youth Congress and their events can be found clicking on the Pro Life Youth Congress button on the menu bar to the left.

The mission of Students for Life of America is to educate pro-life college students about the issues of abortion, euthanasia, and infanticide; identify pro-life student leaders; equip college pro-lifers with the training, skills and resources to be effective and successful; and promote student activity to other local, college and national groups.  LEF supports local university chapters of Students for Life, encourages graduating PLYC students to join Students for Life at the colleges or universities they attend, or to foster the development of a chapter where there is none.
